Guadalupe
Guadalupe is a suburb of San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica. It can be reached quickly and easily either by own vehicle or by using the public transit system. Guadalupe is located just outside of the city’s busy metropolis. Guadalupe, which is located in a handy area close to the conveniences and attractions of downtown San Jose, offers a more laid-back setting for tourists who are looking for an urban experience while visiting Costa Rica. Shops, restaurants, and pubs can be reached on foot by tourists in a matter of minutes, and due to the proximity of major transit hubs, tourists can quickly access surrounding national parks and reserves. Travelers can get to the Irazu Volcano in Cartago in a little over an hour at the most.
Visitors to Guadalupe who are interested in seeing verdant tropical rainforests may discover Braulio Carrillo National Park, which is located between the volcanoes of Irazu and Poas. Braulio is one of the most spectacular parks in Costa Rica, and it is home to 150 kinds of animals, 6,000 types of plant species, and miles upon miles of pathways that range in height. Both the breathtaking San Fernando waterfall and the dormant Barva Volcano, which ascends to the highest point in the park, are accessible to visitors via hiking trails in the park.
