Tinamaste
The Fila Tinamaste is a magnificent wall of cloud forest flora that lies directly beneath the little town of Tinamaste. You’ll have the impression that you’ve journeyed back in time when life was simpler and easier because of the smiling faces, big farms, rough terrain, and a general feeling of serenity and quiet.
For foreigners and retirees who want to experience the simplicity and beauty of rural Costa Rica, Tinamaste is a green-gold sanctuary. Numerous rivers and waterfalls may be found there, including Catara el Diamante, the tallest waterfall in the country, the well-known Nauyaca Falls, the lovely Eco Chontales Waterfall, and the Cascada Elysiana. In this lovely village is also the Living Library Botanical Garden and Research Institute.
There are hardware stores and convenience stores, but no chain supermarkets. One of the busiest organic markets in Costa Rica is located in Tinamaste, where locals go to the “feria” every Tuesday to buy fresh and organic products.
With homes and estates being far less expensive than in areas like Dominical and Perez Zeledón, the real estate market in Tinamaste has some of the greatest prices in the coastal area.
If you wish to have access to contemporary conveniences and magnificent beaches nearby, Tinamaste is the ideal spot to call home.
